The first in our Cocktail of the Month series, the Mojito is a summer-friendly rum-based cocktail with citrus and fresh mint.

Fizzy, minty and bursting with fresh-squeezed juice, The Mojito is a traditional Cuban cocktail that complements the heat of the South Florida spring juuust right. It’s a clean, straightforward cocktail that dates back to the 17th century.

After 400+ years of enjoying this refreshing drink, cocktail enthusiasts have perfected this beloved tincture. Our Mojito recipe consists of Black Coral white rum, fresh herb, sugar, citrus and sparkling club soda.

Want to make your own Mojito? Here’s how:
5 parts Black Coral white rum
2 parts fresh lime
2 parts simple syrup
2 sprigs of mint
3 parts club soda

Muddle mint in rum, lime and simple until mint is bruised but not torn. Top with ice & shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Fill a Collins glass with ice & add club soda. Fine-strain shaken ingredients over ice & club. Garnish with mint sprig and lime wheel. Serve with a knowing grin.
